Michelle Lambert is an architect, a green building consultant, and an educator with eighteen years of sustainable design expertise in both practice and teaching. Her diverse professional experience includes design and green building consulting work on large and mid-size architecture and urban planning projects. While practicing architecture at several large Boston firms, she also led their sustainability teams and provided internal green building trainings. Her expertise includes building science research as well as teaching both in higher education and to career professionals.
Michelle became one of the first LEED Accredited Professionals (AP) in 2002. For the past 16 years she has maintained her credential while establishing significant LEED project expertise. She has worked on over 40 LEED projects varying in building type, rating system version and certification level from Certified to Platinum. In 2010 Michelle was accepted into the US Green Building Council LEED Faculty Training Program and became a LEED Faculty member. She has taught numerous green building and LEED project management courses to Boston-area professionals in the design and construction industry.
Michelle is also a certified Envision Sustainability Professional (ENV SP) through the Institute for Sustainable Infrastructure (ISI). She has the expertise to lead project teams through the Envision design, construction and documentation process. She is also a certified Envision Verifier, providing third-party reviews of Envision project submissions for ISI. In addition, she is an Envision Training Provider, and has delivered several all-day Envision training education sessions to engineering professionals.
Michelle holds a Masters degree in Urban Planning and Environmental Policy from Tufts University and a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Carnegie Mellon University.
