Continuous Improvement is Our Motto!
The SPI Criteria were born out of more than a decade of work with clients of all shapes and sizes, learning from their successes and yes, failures. Each version of the criteria has gone through a peer-review process followed by a public comment period. In the past year, HUD became the first federal agency to adopt our Certification program, using it as the basis for their Green Organizational Accreditation. The process of adapting the criteria for that program helped us to further streamline and clarify it. The resulting v3.0 is open for public comment through September 16, 2013.
Current Version 2.2
You may want to take a look at the existing version of the Criteria, v2.2. The existing criteria are accompanied by a very detailed Application Guide which includes context, examples and details of the evidence that SPI reviews.
Soliciting Comments on v3.0
As we continue to learn from our clients and receive input from our community, we regularly update the criteria to reflect the best available strategies to achieve higher levels of performance and profitability. The proposed V3.0 constitutes a simplified and streamlined set of evaluation criteria covering a broad range of factors contributing to organizational sustainability, including:
- Vision, Goals & Implementation
- Project Delivery
- Infrastructure
- Collaboration & Partnering
- Outcomes and Metrics.
As in previous versions, it also uses surveys of internal staff and external clients and partners to identify strengths and weaknesses and provide the basis for continual improvement.
We are soliciting comments from the public on v3.0 until midnight Pacific time on August 31, 2013.
